Absolutely wonderful birthing center. I loved getting my prenatal and postnatal care and having my baby here. The midwives are knowledgeable and kind. I recommend to anyone who is wanting an unmedicated birth.

I had a wonderful experience supporting my wife at The Bridge Birth Center. Our first two children were delivered in Hospital over 10 years prior to our third. The experience from a husband perspective was very welcoming and even inviting to be my wife’s closest person for comfort. With this being our first out of hospital birth, we were a little concerned that we would maybe have to transfer to a hospital. Not the case for us, the midwives were keeping a very close eye on the vitals and everything went extremely well. Lynette and her team are all extremely impressive.

Beautiful and comforting birth center! Each midwife and student is knowledgeable and genuine. My prenatal care and birth experience was the best I've ever had! Coming from CA, where I had my first two babies in a birth center, I knew I had to find a similar place in Vancouver when I got pregnant with my third. The Bridge met all my expectations! During pregnancy, I felt very respected and informed. When labor began, the on-call team worked wonderfully to make sure everything went the way I wanted and as safely as possible. I was able to use the birthing tub, treated like a queen after delivery and got to bring home my baby girl only a few hours later. Postpartum was equally as attentive. I highly recommend The Bridge to anyone looking for the most natural prenatal/birth plan.

Such an amazing experience! The midwives do a very thorough job during your entire time under their care, and they clearly have a passion for what they do. I felt very comfortable at every appointment, and loved that they made sure that I was making informed decisions but were also very supportive of my birth plan! As a first time mom I had a lot of questions and they took a lot of time to educate which was really great as well. The birth center itself was so comfortable to give birth in, it’s very peaceful and had a good ambience. I would recommend them to moms at any stage, whether you’re a first timer like me or have several babies!

Lynette attended three of my births and was the most valuable person in the room each time. I can't imagine being pregnant or having a baby without her by my side! She was practical and accessible to my questions during pregnancy and a calm reassurance during labor. She provided evidence based guidance on nutrition and positioning and encouraged me to make my own educated choices about my birth and baby. She managed the several unusual health circumstances that arose for me very safely and confidently including a postpartum hemorrhage, posterior positioning and VBAC. She gives frank, clear information but is never pushy. My family trusts her completely!

We are so incredibly grateful for the care we received from Lynette leading up to, during, and after the birth of our son. One thing I struggled with as a new parent was how much conflicting information and advice there is out there. The only consistent thing for us was how effective and true Lynette’s advice or remedies for us were. Her support during our birth was constant, patient, and professional. She knew exactly how much to step in without being too overbearing and advocated for us when we were being pressured into making snap decisions.
